The Bocce Australia Club Fours & Mixed Bocce Championship is set to take place on September 9th and 10th at the Casa D'Abruzzo Club in Melbourne! This event is a BA endorsed major national event sponsored by Sport Australia, Government of Victoria Major events and Casa D’Abruzzo.  The Club FOURS Championship - is open to all Bocce Affiliated clubs and will comprise of two tournaments; 1) Club Fours (Men Category -Can include mixed male/female/junior). Men's FIB rules apply 2) Club Fours (Women Category) &  3) Open Mixed Throwing category. A total prize pool, of $4,000 + more! The Prize monies will be apportioned between the three categories (Men Fours, Women Fours & Open Mixed) based on number of teams in each category. For less than 8 teams           Based on the reduced entry fee of $50pp the prize monies will be:              1st $1000 and 2nd $500; 3rd $300; 4th $200 for both Men & Women categories.          For the Mix Throwing Open 1st prize only $500.  A bonus prize money of $500, will be on offer to the winning Fours for both the Women’s & Men’s teams if both winning teams are from the same club. A further bonus will be provided if the winning Open Mixed team is also from the same club.  Eligibility All Clubs, players, coaches, and officials need to be Bocce Australia Members. Clubs can field up to 3 teams in both the Men's & Women's cetegories Early Entry fee by 31st August $50pp and includes registration, 2 lunch meals plus special bonus  raffle ticket ! The Open Mixed Championship consists of a team event minimum 2 players or maximum 4 players ( Male & Female ) that compete in combined Mixed-BowlThrow & Mixed-Rapid Relay competition.  The mixed events are open to all bocce members with the team composition being optionally from the same club, same state or cross club or cross State. 2023 Australian Bocce-Raffa Open Men’s & Women’s  (Doubles) Championship  This prestigious event will bring together Australia’s best Bocce-Raffa players, showcasing their skills and competing for the title of Australian Champion. The championship will feature Men’s Doubles and Women’s Doubles competitions. Bocce Australia is hosting a National Development Conference and welcomes all affiliate Bocce Clubs,  committee members, Schools and volunteers to come along and be part of a fun and informative event.  Led by Bocce Australia's National development Officer John inglese, new bocce products that target schools, corporate groups, U3A (University of Third Age) members, will be showcased together with our ‘new tried and proven’ competition formats - The Bocce Team Challenge and Bocce Pennant. This Development session will also cover: - Identifying New Markets. - How to increase bocce participation and income at your club. - The Future Pathway for Players, Coaches and Referees. - New and exciting bocce competition formats and how to implement them. - How to attract and retain volunteers.
